Hurricane Harvey

Dear Parents and Students,
As many of you know, our wonderful 8th grade teacher, Mrs. Koch, is a proud Texan.  Unfortunately, Hurricane Harvey devastated her hometown of Dickinson, Texas.  Through God’s grace and careful planning her Mom and the rest of her family were able to escape the floodwaters and were kept safe.
Mrs. Koch’s church and elementary school were not so lucky.  Shrine of the True Cross Catholic School serves students from pre-school through 8th grade.  It was the first parochial school on the Galveston County Mainland being founded in 1946.  The school has suffered great damage taking on over 4 feet of water.  The building is in need of repair, the teachers have lost many, if not all, of their supplies and the students need to have their normal restored.
This is where our tremendous community can help.  For the next two weeks, we will be collecting gifts certificates, Home Depot, Staples, Walmart and Target, and monetary donations to send to True Cross in care of their Principal Yolanda Agrella.  All donations can be sent into school to the attention of Kathleen Kajmo.  Any checks should be made payable to Shrine of the True Cross Catholic School.
Please keep the faculty and students of True Cross in your prayers.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
