Dear St. Andrew Families,
James McKenna and James Ferraro met with the director from Christ’s Home for Children, a facility that houses children from one day old up to 18 years of age. These children are taken out of abusive and neglectful homes and are placed at Christ’s Home until more suitable homes come available. Many teens do not leave this facility and arrive with nothing more that the clothes on their backs.
Christ’s Home is in urgent need of full size body wash because their septic system cannot handle bar soap and body lotions of any type as many of the children and parents have skin conditions upon arrival. Please can you find in your hearts to donate one of these items and send it in with your child over the next several weeks. Boxes have been placed in each classroom and are labeled “Christ’s Home for Children.”
