Dear St. Andrew Parents,
I hope you all had a great week! I did! It was great to hear the kids outside enjoying the spring weather during the day and to have quiet pleasant evenings looking at the stars after all were asleep!
Next week we begin our Terra Nova Testing. Mrs. Wagner, like she does all the time, has been working hard to make it the best experience for all of our students. Our goal is to get data to see where students are, to be able to track growth and to see where we may have gaps in our learning. With the interruptions and different learning environments we have experienced over the year, the data may be as important as it ever has been. That being said, the data is just another measurement and not an end all be all. We just ask that our students get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and put their best foot forward. There is no need to stress over the tests.
During the testing week, all students (K-8) may wear their gym uniforms each day of the week. Sorry for any extra midweek laundry this may cause. School uniforms are still permitted if needed.
Please note that on 3/18 we will be having our Fun Event – Free Uniform Night from 3:15-6 PM for those of you that need to or would like to pick up new uniforms for your growing children. We will transition back to our summer uniforms after the Easter holiday on Tuesday, April 6.
We have been asked by our transportation departments to remind parents that students may not ride any other bus home other than their assigned bus due to the pandemic and contact tracing. Thank you for understanding.
Thanks again for all of your support, and have a great weekend!
