Dear St. Andrew Parents,
I hope you had a great week!
On Saturday, March 19 we are looking forward to the return of the Feast of Saint Joseph after a 2 year hiatus. As you may have seen in emails from homeroom parents, this is a family fun event that raises money for our 8th graders and scholarships to Catholic high schools. In the past, we have had well over 200 adults and children, and right now, we are well behind that number. Please consider coming and enjoying a great evening with your Saint Andrew Family while giving back to the 8th grade students. You can learn more about registering here.
The next Uniform Swap event is next week on March 9 from 3:30-6:00. Spring Uniforms will start on April 4.
The Father-Daughter Dance has to be moved from 5/21 to 5/14 due to the building now being used for our Seminarians who are being ordained priests that weekend. We apologize for the change, for anyone no longer able to attend, and any other inconvenience this will cause.
Please check out the information below including an upcoming dress down day.
Saint A tip of the week:
- Fridays of Lent: Although not required for all ages, we ask that our students abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent. We believe that the younger they learn about Lent and the reasons for our abstaining/fasting, the more likely they are to continue this later in life.
Thanks, and have a great weekend!
School Information
- We will have a green dress down on Thursday, March 17.
- Money raised will go to support the Bridge to Uganda. They are a Catholic nonprofit whose expressed mission is: To build a bridge to Uganda to help the people of Uganda spiritually, physically and mentally.
- They do most of their work in the infamous Laweero Triangle which has for decades been a place of genocide and child trafficking. They built and support a thriving Catholic school in the middle of this Laweero Triangle that serves as a refuge and place of hope for the children in that area.
- This is also the group Mr. Tarrant and Personally Catholic are working with on their mission trip to Uganda this month. Please keep them all in your prayers.
