Dear St. Andrew Parents,
I hope that you had a great week and an even better weekend! Next Wednesday, there will be a parent Zoom at 7:00PM to teach parents a little more about social media, technology, and how students are using it across the country. It is a follow up to our presentation to the students in grades 5-8, but all parents are welcome to attend.
Should the Eagles win on Sunday, we are hearing the parade will likely be Wednesday or Thursday, but that is not concrete information. Please know that we will share information as soon as we have it, but it would probably be public knowledge at the same time. Any school events that day would be canceled or postponed.
Looking ahead, if you have never attended the Saint Joseph Feast organized by our Fathers’ Committee, please take a look below at the information. It is a great family friendly event where both students and parents get to socialize. Ask another Saint Andrew family friend to join and prepare for a great time. Additionally, please be sure to check out the dress down day below for Valentine’s day and the Garden of Health Food Pantry. After CSW, the Eagles, and Valentine’s Day, this will be the last dress down day for a while. There is also, new high school, CYO, Boy Scout, and other community information below.
Last but not least most of our second grade class will be receiving their Sacrament of 1st Reconciliation on Tuesday. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they approach this exciting milestone in our faith!
God Bless you all, have a great weekend and go Eagles!

This Sunday, February 5th is Scout Sunday! If you or your children are interested in finding out more about Boy Scouts please join us at the 9 AM Mass at the main church. Representatives from Troop 29 will be in attendance. Many Saint Andrew families have boys involved in Troop 29, and several of the scouts have contributed to the school through various Eagle Scout Projects including the multiplication tables on the stairs of the school, the Stations of the Cross in the Preschool Playground, the Prayer Garden in the back of the school and the Gaga Pit to name just a few! After mass there will be a reception in the Parish Meeting Room where the scouts will have a small activity for the kids and scouts and parents will be sharing information on what Scouting is all about. - BE FIRST AT HOLY GHOST PREP
- The Be First Program at Holy Ghost Prep is our early decision program for students entering eighth grade. A small number of students are invited to Be First at Holy Ghost Prep based on their seventh grade practice test score or because the student is a legacy applicant (the son of an alum or brother of a current student or alum). Students in this program complete the application process during the summer between 7th and 8th grades. We know that HGP is the first choice of many of our families. This program is designed to take the stress out of the high school process before 8th grade even begins. To be eligible, students must take the seventh grade practice exam at HGP.
- STILL MAKING A HIGH SCHOOL DECISION?
- The Class of 2027 at HGP is fully enrolled for next year, but we still have dozens of families inquiring about both 9th grade and transferring to HGP for the 2023-2024 school year. Like everything we do at HGP, we never want any student to feel like he is just a number. Our goal is to find a way to help every right-fit family that wants to be at Holy Ghost Prep. If you have not completed the high school decision process or are looking for a change, we are here to help you learn about HGP. To learn more, contact the admissions office at 215-639-0811 or admissions@holyghostprep.org
