Dear St. Andrew Parents,
I hope you had a great week! Sorry, this week is a little longer, but there is a lot of important information below.
We wanted to pass on that our young student that had the medical emergency last week is doing well and is back in school. The family is grateful for the support and prayers they received.
If you have not already signed up to attend the Saint Joseph Feast, please consider coming with your entire family as it is a great family fun event. Proceeds from this event provide scholarships for our 8th graders continuing their education at Catholic high schools. Attached here is more information about the Fathers’ Committee and what they do for our community! Below is the registration information. How often do you get to hang out with your adult friends, and your children get to hang out with their peers and have a nice evening? It is a great time!
Speaking of a great time, how about that Father-Daughter-Dance! Thank you to Mrs. DeRisi and all of the parents who helped to organize the Father-Daughter Dance. The feedback was fantastic! It was a beautiful event, and both daughters and dads had a great time! Thank you to Villaggio Iccara for the delicious food and to Cramer’s Bakery for the cupcakes!
Some of our school community already knows, but we wanted to let you all know that we are losing two incredible members of our school community to retirement this year. Mrs. Judy Weaver in our office will be retiring at the end of March, the same day as her husband. Mrs. Barbara Wagner will be retiring after the school year. Combined, they have over 50 years of service to Saint Andrew. We will greatly miss them and their smiling faces! We are excited to announce we have hired Ms. Dana Demsko to replace Mrs. Weaver, and Mrs. Marigrayce Malboeuf will become our new Early Childhood Coordinator and leave the classroom at the end of the school year.
Today is the last day of the second trimester. Report cards will be available on FACTS on Monday, March 13 at 4pm. We also started our Terra Nova Testing today for our 2nd-7th grade students. Testing will continue Monday-Wednesday next week. All students are permitted to wear their gym uniforms on testing dates. Students who will be taking the Terra Nova must have #2 pencils. As always, please make sure your children are getting to bed on time or early and eating a solid breakfast each morning.
We have about 40 desks that are still looking to find a new home. If you would like a student desk, please complete this form, and you can grab one next week.
There is also information below regarding Stations of the Cross, ordering yearbooks, our Mother-Son Event, and more.
Have a great weekend!
