Dear St. Andrew Parents,
I hope you had a great week! In light of another tragic school shooting, we wanted to let you know that we again had discussions with our local PD and all members of our school team. We need some help from you, our school community. Most of this surrounds our front office and helps our team manage their job. If you could please always send a note (on our notepad) with your child in the morning if there are any changes to your normal routine, “Johnny is going to CARES today,” “he has a Dr. Appointment at 10:00,” or “we are leaving early on vacation,” etc. If you forget to send in the note or schedule an appointment last minute, please call the front office at 215-968-2685. When prompted, hit 5 for the front office. If you just show up without the note or without calling, it adds a substantial amount of time to the process, ties up our team longer, and interrupts the classroom. Do not email the teacher to let them know of the changes. They are teaching and likely will not see the email in a timely manner. In addition, if we have a substitute it is entirely ineffective.
Also, we can not dismiss any students after 2:30PM. If you need your child to leave early, they must be picked up prior to 2:30PM. This will help us be more efficient and to help ensure we are maximizing the safety of all of our students and staff. We have made some slight changes to how we receive deliveries and packages during the school day, and your cooperation with the above will help us out. While we have not had any issues with students receiving deliveries at Saint Andrew from delivery companies, please know that we will not accept any deliveries for students at any time.
We have a lot of items in our lost and found. Please click on here to view. If any of these are yours, please reach out to Deb Rachuba at drachuba@standrewcec.com.
Now some good news!
As I mentioned last week, we had an absolutely wonderful 8th grade play production. This upcoming week our 7th graders will be leading our students through the Stations of the Cross. We are thankful for their hard work, are proud of them, and look forward to their performances as well!
There will be no Friday News next week as we have a short week. I will be out most of the week after Easter at the NCEA conference. If you need anything from an administrator, please contact Mrs. Wagner and Mr. Fasullo.
Last but not least, thank you to Judy Weaver, who is now officially retired! She has been a tremendous help to our administrative team the last four years and a rock for our school the last 26 years. She is incredible, and we will miss her, but we are happy that she now will get to travel with her husband, Tim, who also retired today. Wishing them all the best on behalf of all of us!
Have a great weekend and Easter Break!
