Dear St. Andrew Families,
Happy August and last month of summer vacation! Class Lists are now open; please see the links and information below.
As we approach the school year, we are gearing up for our New Family Playground Event and Uniform Swap which has been moved to August 16 from 5-7pm. The uniform swap will be held in the Marian Room from 4-6pm.
The event was moved because of the new rubber mulch distribution in our playground areas which is underway. The projects around the school are continuing to go well, and we want to again thank our Home and School Association and Moms’ Booster Club for their generous support.
Have a great rest of your summer! In this month of August dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, let us continue to bring our prayer requests to Jesus through our Blessed Mother.
Class assignments are now available online through the FACTS Family Portal. The district code is SA-PA when you log-in. For our new families, you will need to click on this link and use the email address that you shared with us in your registration to access your account. Requests for class changes will not be honored.
CARES bills with a balance were sent out again today via the mail. Please know that students may not enroll or attend CARES this school year until all bills are paid.
First day of CARES for students in grades 1-8 is Tuesday, September 5.
First day of CARES for kindergarten students is Wednesday, September 6.
First day of CARES for preschool students is Thursday, September 7.
Any family interested in CARES must complete the registration form.
All of our school events are posted on the calendar in FACTS. If you would like to sync the school FACTS Calendar to your Google calendar on your computer or phone, follow these instructions.
Please also update your emergency contacts in FACTS. Here is a cheat sheet to update the information. It is important that you have at least 2-3 emergency contacts and list any family that carpools with your family. We will only call in case of an emergency when the parent can not be reached.
Mrs. Marx, sadly, will be stepping away from teaching to pursue another career. We thank her for her four years at Saint Andrew and 24 years in Catholic Schools. We pray for her as she begins her new journey!
We would like to welcome Ms. Melissa Creevey to our team to fill the recently vacated fourth grade position. Ms. Creevey is a Temple University graduate and comes to us from St. Albert the Great School in Huntingdon Valley where she taught the past three years.
Next Tuesday, August 15 is the Feast of the Assumption, a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times are below:
Monday Night Vigil is at 7:30 PM.
Tuesday Masses are at 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 7:30 PM.
Repeat School Information
State Budget/Book Delay:
As you may know, the Commonwealth was delayed in approving the state budget which means that schools are just now being approved to order textbooks, workbooks, novels, etc. We will manage this as we have in the past, but it will make things look a little different as we start the year without these materials.
While our administrative team works most of the summer, there is not always someone in the school due to vacations overlapping. General summer hours are Monday-Thursday 9AM-3PM. If you have any questions or need to schedule an appointment, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Terra Nova Reports were mailed to families in grades 2-7 the second week of June. We are very proud of our students and their accomplishments.
Please see the attached table to view how our students did in comparison to the Archdiocese and other Bucks County schools.
Summer Work and Supplies! The deadline for online supply kit orders has passed. At this time, you may purchase supply items from the store on your own using your posted grade-level list.

Previous Personnel Updates:
Ms. Leinheiser has accepted a teaching position in another school district. We thank her for her four years at Saint Andrew and pray for her continued success!
We would like to welcome Allison Morgan to our team to replace Ms. Leinheiser. Ms. Morgan is a Gwynedd Mercy University graduate returning to the Philadelphia area after teaching in Florida. She is also a former PREP teacher.
We have hired Ms. Amanda Strain for our 7th/8th social studies position. Ms. Strain has taught at Saint George Catholic School in Port Richmond, Philadelphia the past three years.
We have hired Ms. Diane DeRogatis for our art teacher position. Ms. DeRogatis holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and has taught art to students of all ages in the local area for many years including through leading successful summer camps.
We are happy to announce that in our preschool office Mrs. Seana Powell will be fulfilling the role from which Mrs. Fiero retired at the end of this past year.
