Recycle ink cartridges and raise cash for our school!
Each year, millions of inkjet cartridges are thrown away, with most of them ending up in landfills or incinerators. In the United States alone, approximately 11 cartridges are thrown away every second, resulting in 300 million cartridges that end up in landfills annually. For every 100,000 used cartridges recycled, it is possible to save around 1,000,000 litres of oil, 40 tons of plastic, 20,000 pound of aluminium, making ink cartridge recycling synonymous with sustainable development.
You can recycle your ink cartridges to save the earth AND help support Saint Andrew School.
Our school works with several companies to recycle small ink cartridges (typically used in personal printers.)
Send your small used ink cartridges into school with your child. You can place cartridges in a clear plastic bag, and include your child’s name and grade. The ink cartridges can be placed in the blue bin marked “INK CARTRIDGES” in the school cafeteria.
